Rickroll your wedding!
Inspired by the pending nuptials of my friends Ben and Boriss, I present you with this humble arrangement of “Never Gonna Give You Up,” the song made famous for its infectiously cheerful music video and its place of honor as the weapon of choice of Internet trolls.
I mean, really, is there anything better for a wedding than this song? Apart from the groovy dance beat and minor seventh chords, it’s perfect. You could rip the lyrics right out of the song and say them in your vows:
We’re no strangers to love. You know the rules and so do I. A full commitment’s what I’m thinking of. You wouldn’t get this from any other guy.
I just wanna tell you how I’m feeling. Gotta make you understand: Never gonna give you up. Never gonna let you down. Never gonna run around and desert you. Never gonna make you cry. Never gonna say goodbye. Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.
SRSLY that’s some romantic stuff. So all the song needed was less synths, more strings, and a rhythm that your uncoordinated doofus brother can march down the aisle next to without tripping the other groomsmen. And here we are:
