Literary Theory Can Get Stuffed
Forwarded to me by a friend: The Death of Literary Theory — Is it really a good thing?.
To this I have to say:
Literary theory can get stuffed. It’s pretentious, snobby, detached from reality and exists to justify the paychecks of professors who wouldn’t last two seconds in the real world so they stay in academia where they can be petty kings of petty kingdoms, extorting the commentary that they want to hear from their students by holding their GPAs for ransom.
No, graduate school didn’t leave me bitter. Why?
